1Make some paper butterflies.

Draw 6 to 8 butterflies or print out any of these butterfly sets:

• Butterfly coloring pages - Sets 1 to 5
• Butterfly shapes - Sets 4 to 6

2Color the butterflies.

Color the butterflies with crayons, colored pencils, markers, or any water-based paint.

3Cut out.

Cut out the butterflies.

4Create a band.

Cut out a 1-inch wide strip of construction paper long enough to go around your head.

5Start gluing the butterflies.

Glue the first butterfly an inch from one end of the band. You only need to glue the middle section of the butterfly. Keep the wings free of glue so they pop out nicely when you wear the crown.

Glue the second butterfly beside the first. It's okay to slightly overlap its wings with those of the first butterfly.

6Glue all the butterflies.

Continuing gluing the butterflies. Leave at least a 1-inch margin at the opposite end of the band.
