- Craft foam
- A4 or Letter size paper
- Hole punch
- Elastic band
- White glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Things to decorate your crown with: buttons, pom-poms, plastic gems, beads, rhinestones, fabric, craft boas, glitter glue, etc.
STEPS
1Print out the crown template.
Choose from any of the crown templates below. Print out your chosen template on A4 or Letter size paper.
- Prince & Princess Crowns - template 1, 2 or 3
- Frozen Princess Crowns - plain template
- Superhero Crown or Tiara - plain template
2Cut out the template.
Cut out the main crown piece.
3Make a crown outline on craft foam.
Place the crown template on a sheet of craft foam. The template can be held in place with paper clips or masking tape. Use a pencil to trace the outline of the crown onto the craft foam.
4Cut out the crown.
Cut out the craft foam crown.
5Punch a pair of holes.
Punch a hole each on the right and left edges of the crown.
6Decorate the crown.
Decorate the crown with a variety of materials like buttons, pompoms, sequins, rhinestones, foam or fabric shapes, fabric scraps, stickers, ribbons, lace, washi tape, and other notions.
7Attach an elastic band.
Cut a piece of elastic band to a length of about 10 to 12 inches. Insert the ends of the elastic band through the opposite holes on the crown, knotting each end from the inner side of the crown.
8Wear the crown.
The crown should fit snugly on your head. You can adjust the length of the elastic as needed.
