1Prepare the corn.

Separate the husk from the corn. Set the husk aside for later.

2Make a corn shape.

Draw an outline of a corn on a sheet of paper. A fun way to do this is to trace around the actual corn itself (Younger children can work by pairs).

You can also print out this corn pattern on A4 or Letter size paper.

3Skewer the corn.

Cut the corn in half. Skewer each piece through a stick. Snip off the pointed tip on each stick, if it has one.

4Paint the corn.

Take one corn and paint its entire surface yellow. Make sure to paint all the kernels.

5Make corn prints.

Place the sheet of paper with the corn outline on a table or flat surface.

Roll the painted corn back and forth on the paper until you have covered the area inside the corn outline. Re-apply paint onto the corn when the prints become too light.

6Make husk prints.

Take a piece of corn husk. Make corn husk prints following these steps:

1. Paint the rough side of the husk green.
2. Press the painted surface of the husk onto a sheet of paper.
3. Peel off the husk to reveal a green corn husk print.

Repeat a couple of times to create four or more corn husk prints.

7Cut out the paper corn.

Once the paint dries, cut out the paper corn.

8Cut out the paper husks.

Cut out the paper husks as well.

9Glue 2 paper husks on the corn.

Take two paper husks. Glue them at the base of the corn in a "V" postiion.

10Glue two more husks.

Glue two more paper husks, this time gluing them at the back. Position them closer to the corn—one on the left and the other on the right side.

11Trim the paper husks.

You can trim the sides of the husk to add curves or shape it more to your liking.
