Paint the bottom side of a small paper plate with brown tempera or poster paint. Set the painted plate aside to dry.
2Draw a pair of antlers.
Use a pencil to trace the outline of your right and left hands on dark brown or black construction paper.
3Cut out the antlers.
Cut out both handprints.
4Glue the antlers.
Once your paper plate is completely dry, flip it over so that the plate's unpainted side is facing up.
Glue or tape the pair of handprint antlers, thumbs facing each other, at the top edge of the plate.
5Glue the eyes and nose.
Flip the plate over so that the painted side is now facing up. Glue a pair of wiggle eyes and a pom-pom nose.
6Draw a mouth.
Draw a mouth using a black marker or crayon.
7Add some accents.
Glue some accents like a bow below the reindeer's face or a Christmas hat in between the antlers.
Tape a string at the back of the plate so you can hang your cute paper plate reindeer as a fun holiday decoration.
More Ideas
Add a handle.
Transform your paper plate reindeer into a stick puppet or mask by gluing a wooden dowel at the back. You can also glue two craft sticks end-to-end to make a long handle like I did.
