1Print out the animals.

Print out any of these animal sets on A4 or Letter size cardstock:

• African Rainforest Animals - chimpanzee, crocodile, gorilla, okapi, pygmy hippo
• Amazon Rainforest Animals - frog, jaguar, sloth, snake, tapir, toucan
• Antarctic Animals - elephant seal, orca, penguin, seal
• Antarctic Animals - arctic fox, arctic hare, caribou, polar bear, seal
• Asian Rainforest Animals - bearcat, elephant, orangutan, sun bear, tiger
• Safari or African Savanna Animals - elephant, giraffe, lion, zebra

2Print out the bases & stands.

Print out the corresponding bases and stands on cardstock as well.

3Color the animals.

Color the animals with crayons, colored pencils or markers.

4Cut out the animals.

Cut out each animal.

5Cut out the bases & stands.

Cut out the bases and stands as well. Each base has a pair of dotted vertical lines at the bottom. The stands, on the other hand, have these pair of vertical lines on the top edge. Cut slits on both bases and stands following these dotted lines.

6Glue each animal onto its base.

Each base has an animal's name on it. Glue each animal onto the designated base, positioning it as close to the bottom edge as possible and keeping clear of the slits that you made in Step 5.

7Fold each stand in half.

Fold each stand in the middle and unfold to come up with a V-shaped piece.

8Interlock the base and stand.

Unless specifically labeled with the animal's name, the stands can be used on any of the animals. Interlock the slits on the base with those of the stand.

9Put the animal on a flat surface.

The interlocked base and stand will allow the paper animal to stand.
