Chinese Dragon Mask
Color, cut out and wear our printable Chinese dragon mask. Embellish with glitter and crepe paper streamers for an extra festive mask.

- A4 or Letter size card stock
- Crayons, markers or poster paint
- Elastic string
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- Transparent tape
- Crepe paper strips (optional)
- Glitter (optional)
STEPS
1Print out the template.
Print out this dragon mask template on A4 or Letter size card stock.
2Color the mask.
If you printed out the black & white template, color the mask with crayons, colored markers or poster paint. Red and yellow are popular colors for Chinese dragons but you can always try other color combinations.
3Cut out the mask.
Once you're done coloring, cut out the mask.
4Cut out the eye holes.
Cut out the eye holes as well.
5Punch holes near the ears.
There are a pair of little circles close to the sides of the mask for attaching an elastic band. Place transparent tape over each circle, folding it all the way to the back of the mask. This will prevent the paper mask from tearing easily when worn. Once you've put the tape in place, punch a hole on each circle.
6Attach a string.
Cut an elastic string to fit around your head. Knot the ends of the string around the mask's side holes.
7Try on the mask.
Try on the mask. If necessary, adjust the length of the string for a comfortable fit.
More Ideas
Add sparkle.
If you are wearing the mask for a performance, you can add sparkle by applying glitter glue or gluing sequins to some sections of your mask.
Attach crepe paper strips.
Another way of jazzing up your mask is to add long streamers at the bottom of the mask. Cut crepe paper strips and glue them at the back of the mask, right along the bottom edge.
