Crepe Paper Roses
Follow these easy steps for making beautiful roses out of crepe paper. Use the roses as lovely flower décor or give them as a handmade gift. The flowers can also be used to accent a hat, headband or fascinator. The pipe cleaner stem can even be wound around your wrist for a no-fuss flower bracelet!

- Crepe paper (red, pink, white or yellow)
- Green pipe cleaners
- Scissors
STEPS
1Cut crepe paper into strips.
Cut crepe paper into strips, mine are about 2 inches wide and 15 inches long.
A wider strip will give you a bigger rose and a longer strip will result in a rose with more petals.
2Start on one end.
Hold the strip on one end, close to the bottom corner. This end defines the center of your rose.
Slowly gather the crepe paper towards this end, inch by inch. As you do this, the crepe paper forms layers of petals going around the starting point.
3Gather the entire length.
Continue until you've gathered the entire crepe paper strip around the center. You now have a lovely crepe paper rose!
4Add a stem.
Wound one end of a green pipe cleaner several times around the bottom of the rose.
5Make more roses.

- Give a single rose or a bouquet as a handmade gift.
- Wound the pipe cleaner stem around your wrist for a quick flower bracelet or corsage.
- Trim the stem to shorten it. Use the rose to accent a hat, headband or fascinator. Simply fasten the pipe cleaner stem around the item you want to decorate.
- Use the rose as a spring-inspired curtain tie. Gather your curtain panel on one side of your window, then tie the pipe cleaner stem around the curtain.
