Gather several eggs. Wash and pat them dry. Remove the contents of the eggs following our instructions on how to blow out eggs.
Find images that are small enough to glue onto an egg, preferably Easter or spring-themed pictures. You can cut them out from magazines, gift wrap paper, origami paper, calendars, brochures and other paper with interesting prints.
Another option is to print out online clipart and other images using a laser printer (do not use an inkjet printer, the ink will run once you start decoupaging).
To give your Easter egg a varnished look, use a paint brush to apply a coat of decoupage medium on the entire egg.
Decoupage medium like Mod Podge is a sealant as well as being a glue. This means that when applied on the entire egg, it will help waterproof your work. Appply 2 to 3 coats for proper sealing, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next one.
Once dry, you can use your beautiful decoupaged egg as an awesome Easter décor.
Easter eggs decoupaged with small shapes are easy to make and look lovely as well. Another way to make small paper shapes is with the use of craft punches. Punch out shapes from regular paper or from paper with interesting textures and prints.
