Dinosaur Stick Puppets
Learn all about dinosaurs while coloring our awesome dinosaur coloring pages. Cut them out and add handles to make them into easy stick puppets.

Supplies Needed
- A4 or Letter size white cardstock
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Craft sticks or drinking straws
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
STEPS
1Print out the dinosaurs.
Draw your favorite dinosaurs or print out any of these dinosaur sets on A4 or Letter size cardstock:
- Cretaceous period dinosaurs - ankylosaurus, parasaurolophus, spinosaurus, triceratops, Tyrannosaurus rex (or T. rex)
- Jurassic period dinosaurs - allosaurus, archeopteryx, brachiosaurus, camarasaurus, stegosaurus
2Color the dinosaurs.
Color the dinosaurs with crayons, colored pencils or markers. You can also paint them with tempera or poster paint.
You can draw skin patterns like stripes or spots on your dinosaurs, if you like.
3Cut them out.
Cut out the paper dinosaurs.
4Add handles.
To make the paper dinosuars into stick puppets, you will need to attach a handle on each dinosaur. You can use craft sticks, wooden dowels, or even colorful drinking straws. Glue or tape a handle at the back of each paper dinosaur.
5Use the stick puppets.
That's it! Once the glue dries, you can use your dinosaur stick puppets. Do a puppet show, use it to go with a favorite dinosaur story, or simply play with them in a pretend prehistoric world.
