1Prepare the clay.

Prepare your air dry modeling clay. Think about the colors you want to use for the letters in your keychain.

2Roll clay into a sausage shape.

Take a small chunk of clay and roll it into a long sausage shape.

3Form the clay into a letter.

Form the sausage shaped clay into the first letter of your keychain.

4Cut a piece of pipe cleaner.

Before making the rest of the clay letters, it's best to make a link for your keychain before the first clay letter starts to set.

To make the link, cut a 2-inch length of pipe cleaner or craft wire.

5Make a loop on one end.

Make a small loop on one end of the pipe cleaner.

6Attach the link to the clay letter.

Gently insert the straight end of the pipe cleaner into the middle section of your first clay letter.

Push the link in until the loop touches the clay. Pat the clay around the entry and exit points.

7Make the rest of the letters.

Make the rest of the clay letters as described in Steps 2 and 3.

8Glue the letters together.

Glue the letters together with white glue. Let the glue and the clay letters set overnight.

9Fold the pipe cleaner.

Once the clay has set, fold the protruding tip of the pipe cleaner towards the back. You can also just trim it off, you like.
