Craft an easy Christmas stocking out of construction paper. Have fun decorating it with all sorts of materials.
If you want a pattern for drawing your Christmas stocking, print out any of these Christmas stocking templates on A4 or Letter size paper. Cut out the pattern.
Prepare a sheet of construction paper that is at least twice the width of the stocking pattern and must at least be as tall as the stocking pattern's height. Below are the recommended paper sizes:
Decorate your stocking. You can cut out images from old Christmas greeting cards or gift wrap paper, draw your own Christmas images, or cut out basic shapes (e.g. triangles, rectangles, circles) and put them together into a Christmas picture like I did. We also have these Christmas printables that you can use.
Accent your Christmas picture with sequins, glitter glue, buttons, ribbons, stickers, washi tape, and lots of fun notions.
Create a striped Christmas stocking by cutting out strips of colored paper and gluing them across the length of the stocking. You can also make stripes by putting colored masking tape or washi tape.
Stringing a jingle bell through the loop of string or ribbon is also a nice holiday touch.
