1Print out the template.

If you want a pattern for drawing your Christmas stocking, print out any of these Christmas stocking templates on A4 or Letter size paper. Cut out the pattern.

2Prepare the construction paper.

Prepare a sheet of construction paper that is at least twice the width of the stocking pattern and must at least be as tall as the stocking pattern's height. Below are the recommended paper sizes:

• Medium-sized or large stocking - 12" x 18" construction paper
• Small stocking - 9" x 12" construction paper or A4/ Letter size cardstock

3Fold in half.

Fold the construction paper in half.

4Make a stocking outline.

Align the stocking pattern's straight edge with the construction paper's folded side. Trace the outline of the pattern onto the construction paper.

5Cut out the stocking.

Remove the stocking pattern and set it aside.

While keeping your construction paper folded, cut out the stocking shape.

6Apply glue.

Unfold the stocking. Apply glue along the edges of the stocking except on the top edge.

7Fold and press at the edges.

Fold the stocking again. Press along the edges of the stocking to glue the seams in place.

8Decorate the stocking.

Decorate your stocking. You can cut out images from old Christmas greeting cards or gift wrap paper, draw your own Christmas images, or cut out basic shapes (e.g. triangles, rectangles, circles) and put them together into a Christmas picture like I did. Accent your Christmas picture with sequins, glitter glue, buttons, ribbons, stickers, washi tape, and lots of fun notions.

9Create a handle.

Punch a hole on the top corner of your stocking and loop a string or ribbon around the hole to make a handle.
