1Draw and cut out a circle.

Use a large plate or a compass to draw a big circle on light blue construction paper. Cut out the circle.

2Draw and cut out a half-circle.

Draw a half-circle with the same diameter as the first circle on dark blue construction paper. Cut out the half-circle.

3Draw rain clouds.

Draw rain clouds on the half-circle. Color the rain clouds with gray crayon, oil pastels or poster paint.

4Make raindrops.

Make raindrops under the clouds with blue crayon or poster paint. You can also use glitter glue to come up with sparkling raindrops.

5Create a sunny day picture.

Make a sun and some clouds on the top half section of the light blue circle. Add fun details like birds, a kite, or an airplane.

For added texture, you can cut out your sun from paper or craft foam and glue them onto the picture. Glue some cotton to make the clouds.

6Glue the pictures together.

Glue the rainy day picture onto the bottom half of the sunny day picture.

7Draw a circle on white paper.

On white construction paper, draw a circle that is exactly the same size as the light blue circle. Lightly draw a straight line in the middle to mark the two halves of the circle. Mark the center of the circle as well.

8Draw a scenery.

Think of a scenery for your rotating picture—perhaps a tropical seascape, a house on a hill, a garden, or a city full of skyscrapers. The picture should fill the bottom half of the circle. There should also be an image covering the center of the circle like the mountain in the middle of this picture. This point will be the pivot for your rotating picture. Emphasize the lines on your drawing with a black permanent marker.

9Color the picture.

Color your picture with crayons, oil pastels or poster paint.

10Cut out.

Cut out the picture.

11Put the pictures together.

Place your scenery picture over the sunny day/rainy day picture, aligning them at the bottom. Use the point of a pencil to punch a small hole at the center.

12Insert a paper fastener.

Insert a round head paper fastener through the hole. Split the ends at the back.
