Community Helper Stick Puppets
Print out, color, cut out and glue our friendly community helper characters on a stick to make easy puppets for a theme or lesson on community helpers or people's jobs.

- A4 or Letter size paper or cardstock
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Craft sticks or drinking straws
- Scissors
- Glue stick
STEPS
1Print out the coloring pages.
Choose from any of these community helper sets. Print out your chosen set on A4 or Letter size paper or cardstock.
- Set 1 - nurse, doctor, scientist, engineer or architect
- Set 2 - firefighter, police officer, mail carrier, farmer or gardener
- Set 3 - teacher, chef or cook, musician, dancer
2Color the characters.
Color the community helpers with crayons, colored pencils or markers.
3Cut them out.
Cut out each community helper.
4Make the handles.
Glue or tape a craft stick or drinking straw at the back of each paper character.
5Use the puppets.
Once the glue dries, use your stick puppets to learn about people's roles in the community.
