Supplies Needed
- A4 or Letter size cardstock
- Cellophane paper or transparency film
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons, colored pencils, markers, glitter glue, washi tape, stickers, rhinestones, sequins, etc.
STEPS
2Color the template.
If you chose any of the non-colored templates, color them with markers, crayons or colored pencils. Use a single color or make it as colorful as you like. When using paint, add only a little water or none at all to prevent your paper eyeglasses from curling at the edges.
3Cut out the template.
Cut out all three template pieces.
4Cut out the eye holes.
Cut out the eye holes as well.
5Crease the side tabs.
The front frame has a pair of side tabs, each bordered by a dashed line. Fold the side tabs towards the back. Unfold.
6Glue the arms onto the front frame.
Glue the straight end of each arm (the part that extends over the ears) onto a side tab.
7Decorate the glasses.
Decorate your eyeglasses with stickers, glitter glue, small paper shapes, puffy paint, rhinestones, and other notions.
8Add lenses.
Make the lenses out of cellophane paper or transparency film. Cut a pair to a size and shape that covers each eye hole. Glue the lenses at the back of the frame.
9Wear your eyeglasses.
Once the glue dries, try on your awesome eyeglasses.

Make parties and sleepovers a blast with any or all of our fun-shaped eyeglasses. Provide lots of materials to glue and decorate the glasses with like stickers, glitter glue, ribbons, beads, rhinestones, etc.
Print out the glasses on heavy cardstock if you plan to decorate with heavier materials like buttons, small pompoms, or wooden beads.

Draw or paint patterns.
Make fun dots, zigzags, stripes, and other easy patterns by applying paint with your fingers, a Q-tip, or a paint brush. You can also draw them with markers or crayons.
Decorate with washi tape.
Cut washi tape into short strips. Wrap the entire frame with these strips of decorative tape.
You can also use the same idea by cutting magazine pages, newsprint, gift wrap paper, origami paper, and other types of paper into short pieces and glue them onto the entire frame.
Wrap with aluminum foil.
Create a pair of futuristic eyeglasses by wrapping the entire frame with aluminum foil. Assemble the glasses following Steps 1-6 before wrapping the entire glasses in foil. Glue them as you wrap. Once done wrapping, cut and glue a pair of lenses.
