1Draw a spiral line.

On a sheet of paper, start drawing a spiral beginning at the center going outwards.

2Create four or more loops.

Continue drawing the spiral until you have made about four or more loops.

3Draw a snake's head.

Transform the spiral into a snake by drawing a snake's head at the outer end of the spiral.

4Draw eyes and a tongue.

Draw a pair of eyes and a forked tongue.

5Emphasize the lines.

You can emphasize the snake's outline with a black marker. This helps make cutting the snake a lot easier.

6Decorate and color the snake.

Draw patterns on the snake and color them. You can draw inspiration from the skin patterns of real snakes or make up your own snake designs.

7Cut out the snake.

Once done coloring, cut out the snake following the outer outline.

8Color the bottom side.

You can color and decorate the bottom side of the snake as well.

9Cut along spiral line.

Starting just below the snake's head, cut following the spiral line.

10Cut until the spiral's inner tip.

Continue cutting until you've reached the inner tip of the spiral.

11Coil the paper snake.

That's it! Coil your paper snake around a pole or around a tree branch just like a real snake.
